Scholarship
The Max and Nancy Rogers Memorial Workshop Scholarship was established in 2019 by the family of Max and Nancy Rogers to support the growth of watercolor artists across North Carolina.
Longtime residents of New Bern, Max and Nancy were passionate advocates for the arts. They brought nationally recognized watercolor instructors to eastern North Carolina, making high-quality instruction more accessible to local artists. Nancy herself was a respected painter whose work was both admired and collected throughout the region.
Each year, this scholarship (a value of up to $300) is awarded to one WSNC member in each of the society’s three regions—Western, Central, and Eastern—providing recipients with funding to attend a watercolor workshop or class that will help them grow artistically.
